Youth Anti-Poverty Organization (YAPO) was founded in 2010 by Mr. Francis Habyaremye as a students’ movement. Mr. Francis was in senior five (s.5) at Mpaga senior secondary school Fort-portal Uganda.
With the determination to become an active agent of transformation, Mr. Francis rallied his fellow students to become the voice against poverty that closely defines the life of most families in Rwenzori sub-region. The major objective then was to enable fellow students embrace financial literacy and engage in entrepreneurial school and none school projects to enable students grow to like entrepreneurship and loath poverty and its tendencies.
About Us
From its inception, YAPO proceeded and expanded its vision into transforming the communities of Rwenzori Sub-region. YAPO’s anti-poverty activities now covers the nine (9) districts of Kyegegwa, kyenjojo, kyegegwa, kamwenge, Ntoroko , Bundibugyo , Kitagwenda, kasese, and Bunyangabu.
