YAPO strongly believes that the main pillars of food security involve food affordability, food availability, food quality, food safety and resilience. Getting the youth to take ownership and discuss and evaluate their efforts towards food security, food sourcing and feeding their families is central to the establishment of YAPO.

YAPO has been central to changing the youth mindset towards agriculture, to enable them actively involved in agriculture. We have supported the youth with improved mangoes, passion fruits, lemons, oranges, paw paws, coffee, banana, sugarcanes among others.

In the bid to continue supporting the youth and women in a sustainable way, we continue to create and advocate for profitable business models that are sustainable. The ones that use fewer inputs to get more yield and profitability while continuing to be responsible stewards in the environment.
