Climate change

YAPO’s ideology of tackling the climate change question is firmly built on empowering the youth to become the leaders of climate action today because by the time they become the leaders of tomorrow it will be too late for their generation to prevent dangerous climate change.

The organization has sustained its mandate in delivering the services to the people in Uganda in general and Rwenzori region in particular has always mainstreamed approaches and measures that address climate change issues.

The organization creates the environment where the voices of those most vulnerable to climate change to be involved. This creates an inclusion of youth in the negotiations themselves for how they want their future to be in relation to climate change.
